Barry Sheets and Chuck Michaelis discuss the Common Core, the for-profit companies that benefit from it by supplying the materials and tests, the state politicians who took the federal bait money to adopt the standards and the test packages that generate the money for the companies that now demand minimum numbers of students or the price per student goes up, and how those same politicians are now desperately trying to back away from the now VERY toxic standards and disastrously botched teaching methods.
This political tap dance actually means that your child has a chance to avoid the grossly flawed PARCC testing if HB 7 passes. This is the “safe harbor” bill for students that is currently before the Ohio House of Representatives.
