Principles and Policies Podcast For Saturday 3/17/2018- Barry Sheets and Chuck Michaelis discuss a simply awful ruling issued by Federal District Court judge Timothy Black, an Obama appointee and a Republican Senate confirmation, allowing the abortion of children simply because they have an extra chromosome giving them Down’s Syndrome. Judge Black is a former general counsel and president of Planned Parenthood of Ohio. We discuss the frightening implications of a ruling in which a Federal Court judge rules that the murder of children due to a development anomaly is a categorical right. We also discuss the educational nightmare and the schizophrenic nature of so-called conservatives who support a bill in the Ohio Legislature that completely revamps the education in Ohio. The proposed system in HB 512 takes a system that is already badly broken and way too centralized into a Soviet-style and unaccountable bureaucracy.

We look at how President Trump has hoist the press by their own petard by pointing out the absurdity of blaming Republicans for the coming government shutdown over DACA. We finish up with a warning on Ohio HB 160 which is a nightmare for churches and church affiliated organizations, not to mention small business owners, etc.
Principles and Policies Podcast For Saturday 10/28/2017- Barry Sheets and Chuck Michaelis do a quick explanation of the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s nailing of 95 theses to the Wittenburg church door on October 31, 1517 and what it became and why it’s still relevant. We warn that a vote on resolution SJR1 calling for a constitutional convention may be happening in the Ohio Senate. Barry gives a rundown on Ohio political musical chairs which is a “don’t miss.” We use this as a segue to discuss the US Senatorial chess board and the larger strategy at play. We finish up with an analysis of Uranium One and the 180 degree turn in the “Russian Election Collusion” meme.

That segues into the developing race to replace John Kasich and grandstanding by the potential candidates. Grandstanding always has unintended consequences and that leads to a deeper discussion of pharmaceutical marketing issues.

We discuss the Kansas budget issue and work to debunk the socialist argument that lower taxes caused the problem. We also discuss the Ohio Department of Health and their complete disconnect from reality in ignoring the homosexual community and the inherent danger of doing what they do while encouraging them to stop smoking…huh?
